I'm not 100% sure if this is the proper place to ask this question, but I figure I'll go ahead and try.
I was curious if anyone has a recipe for brewing a turbodog clone. According to the Abita website "Abita Turbodog is a dark brown ale brewed with Willamette hops and a combination of British pale, crystal and chocolate malts." but other than that, being a newbie to brewing, I don't have a whole lot of idea where to look, where to start etc.
Another disadvantage that I'm at is my LHBS is 2.5 hours away (no joke). I'm sure there are probably some about 1.5 hours away, but I don't visit that town near as much as I do the one that is 2.5 hours away. So a lot of the questions that might be questions for me to ask my LHBS, keep in mind my location.
Sometimes I hate where I live... I actually live in a dry county (yes, that means I can't even go out and have a beer with my meal at a resturaunt). There are a few "private clubs" in this area that are all owned by the same individual, and they manage to keep the entire county dry along with the bible thumpers in the area....
Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated :-)
