let me know how you guys like it. donīt forget a little salt too.
i made it once with a pilsner, but it was simply too bitter. the sweetness of a schwarzbier/porter complements the other tastes perfectly (imo).
oh, when itīs finished poke a hole in the bottom of the pan and let the beer and butter run out. itīs not meant to be a soup!
guten appetit!

yeah - "man salad" invokes too many connotations I care not to mention

Poke the hole in the bottom of it and drain the beer/butter runningsinto a bowl to keep your grilled sausage warm.

How about "man slaw".

My grandfathers beef brisket recipe, sear both sides of the brisket on a grill, then place in an oven bag along with one beer, a half cup of soy sauce, and a half cup of brown sugar, close the oven bag, put in a baking pan and bake at 200 degrees for 4-5 hours, it doesn't really matter, your not gonna overcook it at only 200 degrees when it is immersed in liquid, when you take it out, the beef should be able to just be pulled to strips with 2 forks.

you should cook for 1.25 - 1.5 hours per pound or until the middle reaches 170 degrees.

I made your cabbage recipe a couple of days ago, except I also added some red onion. . . it came out really good. The next time i make it, I think I'll add some pork to it as well. . .

i like to take some prok ribs, and give them a little dry rub, ie salt pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic, brown sugar. make sure you take that sinue off the back of the ribs too, its easy you make a little slice on the end bone. than take a towel or your sleeve and grab it and pull it it will peel right off. then put your ribs in your cooking vessel mwith a couple of onions and a couple of your favorite homebrews.a little pinapple juice too bake real slowabout 300* for about 2 hours you will see the meat coming away from the bone.let them cool a little. put them on the grill with some of the sauce from the ribs mixed with a little bbq sauce. and enjoy with a couple more homebrews.

Here's one I enjoy-

I slice an onion or two into the bottom of my slow cooker. Set a boneless pork loin on top. (You can use a beef roast if you like). Add about a 16 oz jar of pepperoncinis, along with the juice. Two bottles of good beer - your choice. Last time I used an Imperial pilsener. Add water to cover. Let that puppy simmer.

The pork will pull apart - serve on nice crusty rolls or baguettes with the onions and peppers, and top with shredded mozzarella.

Yummy.
