Hey everyone,

I'm a jewelry student in the certificate program at the Maryland Institute College of Art (and I'm 26). I have a few jewelry designs that incorporate bottle caps and silver. The only problem is that I need way more bottle caps than I can reasonably drink ... and most of my friends drink Miller Light and Corona. So I'm looking for pretty, unique, and/or import bottle caps or ones with strong graphic images (i.e. everyone recognizes the green, white, and red star as a Heinie). I would really appreciate the help! I'll pay for shipping and if you send more than 100 caps I'll make a ring or earrings for you from the bottle cap of your choice. Please private message me or email me if you can help. Thanks! :)

Sorry Steveh (& everyone else)!! I'm new here and didn't know where I should post this. It won't happen again!

Well, you're the 3rd person to ask for beer caps via the internet beer sites in last few months (including one guy "for his son" here on Realbeer) and, so far, when I offer them, I've gotten no response. Now, I'm not say there's some vast bottle cap trolling conspiracy- more likely folks find out what the shipping charge is for these things is going to be and say, "Screw that, I'm collecting stamps."

But, if you want 'em, I've got a beer case (ie- held 4 six packs of 12 oz long neck bottles) full you can have if you pay the shipping. The box weights close to 20 pounds, I'd guess. Most of mine are not twist-off- so they've been "pried off" with the resulting crease across the top. Nor are there a lot of "recognizable" imports, but lots of nice graphics from US craft and local breweries, from the last 20 years.

I'll send you a private message to work out the details (I'll probably want postal charges up front and can supply you with my name on eBay for my 300+ positive "rating" for reference- if you can do Paypal, that'll speed things up.)
