Hi all,
In the process of building an addition, which will include a pool table, wet bar, big screen area, poker area, etc.
The bar will have a kegerator. With all the research Ive been doing (mostly on this site, so thanks), ive pretty much determined that i will NOT build the kegerator into the bar, based on what ive seen and heard...seems too complicated and run the risk of foamy beer.
i was going to do a built in with Marvel, but they dont seem to have a dual tap, so im almost set on the Bev Air dual tap system.
so, i want my bar to be 2 levels..1 level the higher area where you would sit and drink and behind that the 'work space' which would include on one side a refridgerator and on the other the kegerator, and in the middle a sink, underneath storage space, etc. This level would all be the same height, but not 'conenected' Hoping to have enough room for behind it to do some type of place to put bottles, glasses, with lighting up against the wall.
I just want to get some opinions from people....you guys think the path of least resistance with not installing the kegerator into the bar is an ok thing...or do you think i should try and figure out a way to make it work. also, if i wanted to have someone do it all, would guys that build bars know how to do all of this?
what i dont want is a nice looking kegerator/bar with foamy beer! id rather just buy a solid product, build the bar around it (with space to air out) and just make it work.
all comments are appreciated...photos, etc. would be awesome if you have done similar things.
