A local brewery in Atlanta supplies our area with one of my favorite beers, Dogwood Pale Ale. Recently, however, they started shipping their stout and octoberfest to our area and I must say I'm impressed !
Anybody in the southeast should check out Dogwood's brews ! I'm glad to see some quality micro's coming out of the south for a change.

I tried their Pale at the Knoxville Brewers Jam. If I'm recalling this one correctly (I don't have my notes in front of me), it wasn't too bad. Smooth with a (very) slight fruit aroma that didn't hold up in the taste. Good mouthfeel, though. Also, it was only in a sample glass, which I'm sure affected it a bit.
I think that's the Pale my wife liked the best out of all sampled.
The Brewer's Jam showed me that there are a bunch of South East Brewers doing some good things...
Fret, have you been to Bosco's? My wife was raving about the Flaming Stone Beer they had...I didn't get to try it.

bosco's ? Is that a pub? resturant? brewery? and where might it be located? I'm always up for new GOOD beer besides the typical fizz on tap at your everyday joe-schmo bar.

Bosco's is a brewpub/restaurant with three locations. Nashville, Memphis and now in Little Rock. I know Fretlessman lives in Nashville, so I was wondering if he'd been, if he sees this thread...

I don't get up to tenn. much, but the next time I do, I'll check that out! I'd much rather park myself at a good pub than crawl around Dolly-wood or Rock City.

I am in Columbus Georgia about 90 miles from Atlanta. I am quite familiar with Dogwood and think it is a fine brewery, though I prefer Sweetwater. I have not seen the stout and Octoberfest, but I will certainly look the next time I am in Atlanta.
