View Full Version : Green/clear bottles and cider

Any reason not to use them with cider? The only reason I know of for beer is the hops. I've got about two cases - enough for my batch, and would rather not throw them away if I don't have to.

I see no reason not to use them! I don't see any reason to not use them for beer, either, as long as they were kept out of the light.

I agree. Bottle color will not matter.

Cider needs to be stored at steady, preferrably lower temps like in a basement. Keep the bottles touching, or very close together, so that they are less sensitive to ambient temperature changes. I plan on using wine bottles for my cider (kegging 1 batch).

I like to have a few clear ( old corona) bottles in every batch. I just like to look at it clearly (not sure why).
