Don't get jealous yet, I haven't heard back from my Publican. In fact, I just missed a cask Old Ale there, Old Expensive from Burton Bridge. :/ But I hear that they're putting 3F Oktoberfest - on the hand pump -- ?
3F has been cask conditioning a limited few of their beers and making them available to places that know how to keep and serve them. Fortunately, the place I frequent has one beer lover and one home-brewer on staff, so they lovingly care for the Floyds' stuff.

I stopped in at my favorite beer bar to see what was new on the Beer Engine, 3 Floyd's Robert the Bruce - yum-my!
The head bar tender doesn't know about Darklord yet, but they're putting on Bell's 2 Hearted Ale in cask conditioned form after the Bruce.

Hmm, not sure about the Dreadnaught - 3 Floyds had run behind on their production, but if the Robt. The Bruce was on, maybe Dreadnaught was back too. I'll investigate some.
Dave (the head BT) said that the Holiday beers are starting to become available - I imagine they'll have SN Celebration, as they do every year, and some others too.
FYI - Robt. The Bruce is supposed to be around 9% ABV. I didn't notice the alcohol in the flavor until about half-way through the glass, then it was pretty noticeable, but well balanced among malt and hop. Now, if we can only get the Firkin to start using imperial pints...and dropping the prices a wee bit!

Bah, I don't want to hear anyone whinin bout the lack of good beers in your bars. Try finding any good beer in bars in Miami! (with the exception of 2 pretty decent brewpubs) When I get back up north for my Christmas break I am going to get a good sleeping bag and call it a week at my old beer bar.

the f-ing guy only got two cases, he said he ordered 20?? anyway he was only selling two per customer, he said they didn't make very much this year, i think they probably made the same amount as last year, but have a bigger distribution area to cover now...oh well im going to hit another spot and see what happens. i had one last night...WOW!!! that stuff is great! same basic flavor as arrogant bastard but creamy like something from a cask , low in carbonation too, but at 10%abv it really warms you up. double your pleasure double your bastard!

I wonder what the competition would be like after cellaring..?

It's Capital's winter brew, dark copper color, rich malty with a touch of roasted malt and a balanced hop aftertaste. It's available around Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Not sure about Iowa or Minnesota.

i was thinking , only after they were all gone, i should cellar a double bastard, i bet they'd do real well at 10% abv and the magnitude of hops
(you could actually see pieces of them floating around in the beer)
amazing.... oh well hopefully i can find more...
