What are the best conditions for cellaring beer is an average midwest basement 50 degrees - 70 degrees summer through winter repeated annually going to ruin any flavors of a beer thats completed fermentation at ideal temps and is kept in the dark? What is the longest duration of aging that would be beneficial? When would they go south? Assume 6.5-11 percent alcohol and multiple styles.

Upright, close to the floor (but not on the floor if moisture is an issue), concealed from light (case boxes, crates, totes, etc.).
Label any undated bottles with their vintage or when you put them in the cellar. Otherwise, years from now you'll be racking your brain trying to remember how old that barleywine is.
