Fairly certain that Coors ships their beer (higher gravity) via rail to their facility in VA, where it's mixed with water and bottled.
Chance this may have been a Rocky Mountain refreshment spill.
Call Hazmat.

Actually the used to ship the concentrate to VA to be mixed and bottled. I'm not certain that is still the case but may be. They bought dozens of huge fermenters from a German manufacturer and brought them up the river to King George County on barges where they were offloaded and shipped to the Elkton facility. I have pictures of them that I took before they were sent over the mountains to Elkton. HUGE. If I think about it at home, I'll try to find them and post them here. I think they are actually brewing in VA or at least fermenting.

Beer and asphalt are leaking from two train cars after they hit a parked engine during an early morning train move.
In related news, A-B announced it's new flavor lineup for the fall. "One for the Road" will be a new asphault flavored lager.

See they can't even use real asphalt, they have to use that faux asphault. ;)

you know... you have to wonder if the higher gravity beer actually tastes good before they water it down.

Did you try the A-B Brewmaster's Private Reserve?
Basically an all-malt 8%+ lager.
I thought it was drinkable but nothing more than that.
Some actually raved about it.

Some time ago, my wife was looking for some DFH 120 as a suprise for me. The place she went only had 60 and 90 minute. The guy behind the counter actually steered towards the Private Reserve as an alternative. I know the owner of the place and made sure I took it back when he was working, so he'd know who needed to "brush up" on their beer knowledge.

I considered splitting the $13 bottle with a friend.
Got my taste at a fest instead.
Glad I waited.

$13 for a Bud bottle? You gotta be pulling my leg. How big is the bottle?

I believe it was like 46 oz.
Swing top, too.
Fancy, schmancy bottle + rather average high gravity beer = $$$.

It was mildly interesting at best - I had it two years ago. They also released a Michelob reserve or some such aged with vanilla beans in oak barrels - at least that had a little bit of flavor to it, but not much. Two purchases I won't be making again. But yeah, the bottles were pretty cool.

I bought bud's brewmaster's reserve just becuase I couoldn't get an empty swingtop growler of that size for any cheaper, and this at least had some beer in it.

So in other words, they're basically trying to be a cheaper version of Sam Adams Utopia then?

Not at all.
I don't think they ever claimed to be nor have much interest in that realm of "beer".
It was what it was. A high gravity, all malt lager. Just not very tasty.
I think they're content (for now) to let craft brewers like Dogfish Head to "compete" with Jim Koch and Co. over who's king of the big beers.
