I've lived in this neighborhood for ~8 1/2 years. . . there are basically 3 bars within bicycling distance of me. . .. I went out totally expecting to drink tomatoe juice and draft, and I find Blue Moon White beer on draft. . . .This is a first. . .. things are shaping up. I dropped a couple of other brewery names with the bartender. . .

That's about average around here since BM is just another BMC product.

Just where are you located Barley?

I've never cared that much for BM, but maybe it's because I cut my Wit beer teeth on the likes of Hoegaarden (of old, though the new incarnation isn't bad).

BM has too much coriander for me, but I've found Hoegaarden on tap at a Buffalo Wild Wings and Bennigan's (which also had SNPA on tap). Things are looking up.

I'm in Col. OH.

I agree BM has quite a coriander presence, and I know they'll own'd and operated by a macro, but in this neighborhood, it's a major improvement. . .

Bought a single of Blue Moon Spring Ale (amber wheat with lime leaf?).
Drain pour.
Complete waste of $1.50.

I saw sixers on the shelf, wondered for a split second what the style might be, grabbed a sixer of Goose Island Summertime instead -- mostly based on experience with both brands.

Thanks for the confirmation that I spent my own $5.99 wisely.

The Blue Moon Summer ale was pretty good, though. A LOT of honey flavor, but still good.

What the heck are "kieffer lime leaves" anyway?

"The new Spring Ale is a worthy follow-up. An amber wheat that's a bit darker and a little stronger than the Belgian, this features "kieffer lime leaves and lime peel" additions that would seem to provide ample refreshment on a hot summer day."

Whatever they are, I think you only have 24 hours to figure it out.

Oddly enough, Stone used it in their 04.04.04 - their worst beer to date, imo.

Coincidence?

New Belgium used it in their Skinny Dip Summer Ale (http://www.newbelgium.com/beers_skinnydip.php), which has been well received by most who have had it.
