I'm on vacation and looking for craft beer joints in N. and S. Myrtle Beach.
Thanks.

Liberty Brewing is in Broadway At The Shops or something like that.
I'd have to give it a 3.5 out of 10.
They brew on site and it looked as though that was he only true craft beer place in town?
The atmosphere, especially on the patio, was great. Great service and clean establishment. This is in the heart of a 10-acre or so touristy area.
They were out of several beers on the menu when I was there. I was looking forward to oatmeal stout but had to settle on an IPA for the duration of the time as nothing else sounded appealing to me.
The IPA was good but a little on the citric side of the spectrum.
My wife chose a white ale of some sort and then switched to a brown ale after a while.
However.......
My wife and I each had about 7 beers and $60 bucks later we both felt like we had probably one or two beers.
Not good.
Low alcohol content in a touristy district like that is the name of the game I guess. So it looks as though they choose selling more beer than actually making a craft beer at a reasonable ABV.
I’m a fair person and will submit this link to Liberty Brewing in S.C. and see what the have to say.
All in all if you’re in South Carolina and want decent beer then go to the store and buy it in six packs. If anyone has any info on good places to drink quality beer in Myrtle Beach then please speak up.

South Carolina just raised the ABV restriction last month. That might have something to do with the low ABV.

P-Train. You go to a tourist town, in the most conservative state in the country, when the ABV is measured in ABW, and you are dissatisfied with the result? What a surprise!
"Low alcohol content in a touristy district..." Theres a surprise! Do you want a good tasting, well balanced beer, or do you want to get slammed for $3.00 a pint?
