Lactose Question

Hey everyone,

I've currently got a milk stout in primary which I'll be adding lactose to during kegging - my first time using lactose. I'm interested in what other styles lactose may work well with, and was wondering if any of you have used it for beers other than stouts (and what the result was).

If anyone remembers, Magic Hat used to make a beer called Humble Patience which, to me at least, tasted like it had some milky undertones. I'd love to recreate something like that and was wondering what anyone's experiences were with lactose brewing.
