Hey me and some friends are going to attempt a blackberry pale ale and we intend to start on Friday. I'm probably going to add the fruit to the primary fermentor, when I boil the fruit is there a specific temperature I want the water at? How long should I boil the fruit to cure it? How much fruit should I use for five gallons of brew? Do I need to strain the blackberries before transferring to the secondary fermentor?
Please reply soon, I need to know by Friday.
THANKS!! :D

Thanks, that was help ful becuase I was considering doing Primary but I want to ensure a good flavor and aroma of blackberry... when he says to "heat the fruit" to aproximately 85...first is that centigrade or farenheit? I'm in the US so if thats in celcius please translate it to farenheit and do i just heat the fruit by itself or do I boil it?
