IS A 3 ROLL MILL LEAPS AND BOUNDS BETTER THAN A 2 ROLL MILL, OR JUST A LITTLE?

THINKING ABOUT GETTING A CRANKANDSTEIN- ARE THERE ANY OTHER MILLS OUT THERE WORTH A CRAP?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I use a JSP two roll mill and it's solid as a rock. Perfect crush.

I have a Barley Crusher with the 7 lb hopper and it does just great for me. The price was right as well! Less than most 2 roller models without a hopper or base.

2 roller crankandstein here no complaints. glad I got the regular adjustable one and not the adjustable detent model. (Not worth the 20 bucks IMO).

Buy the hopper and build the base or buy both or you'll have to make something. Not too hard if you don't mind that kinda stuff, but it is sure easy order and not waste any brain cells about it.

has anyone dared to try the kitchen aid attachment...it is a flour mill, so I am guessing it isnt going to crush the grains as opposed to mills them, but certainly sounds like a decent idea to attach to something that is already in the kitchen!

I've heard it crushes way too fine.

I have a 3 roller. I knew that if I got a 2 roller mill, eventually I'd buy the 3. It does a very good job - I feel like I get much smaller pieces of starch without messing up the hull than I've seen the 2 rollers get. I have had a 80-85% efficiency from the first batch with it.

My 2 roller crushes much finer when I use my drill to power it. And it is a lot quicker than cranking on that thing to crush 30 or 40 pounds of grain.

I bought the 2 roller, complete, kit from Crankenstein. It's all you'll need.

I've gone through my first 55# sack of grain using it. Nothing needs to be adjusted, and I'm making the best beer ever.
