WOOHOO! Its back on the shelves again. I had a lot of this beer last Christmas at my bicycle club's holiday party. Despite that I have very fond memories of this brew. This is what I kind of want to reproduce as a homebrew. The Frambozen is deliscously ruby colored and had a good "hint" of the raspberry to it.
The Frambozen is listed as a Raspberry Brown Ale. I'd like to take the nutty taste of a good brown ale recipe. Hop it up pretty darn good with citrus tasting hops (I'm thinking of using Centennial) and then adding the raspberry extract. Hoping that the pairing of citrusy hops and raspberry flavor will work out.
Let me know what you think of the idea. This would my first attempt at creating my "own" recipe.
