I am having this for the first time. This is a great brown ale. It has a nice toasted nut taste and very good mouth feel. My wife really liked it also. I would suggest that any brown ale fan get his hands on this one.

You also have to love the label.

BEER CAN BE FOOD, BUT FOOD CAN NEVER BE BEER.

I get some every time I go to Minnesota. It is great. Unfortunately, it is not distributed in Iowa. I emailed the brewery to see if they were going to be distributing here any time soon, I got a very polite "not any time soon". I'll show them, I'll make my own.

I found a recipe for this, but I have emailed the brewery to see if I can get some advice from them as well. My SWMBO's cousin will come back for Christmas and bring a bunch of it with her.

Anyone seen the Moose Drool in the 12.5 oz aluminum bottles yet?

I have not seen it in stores yet, but I saw it at the Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis last month. Same (or similar) label on a aluminum container shaped like a beer bottle, with a normal bottle cap (didn't notice if it was a twist off or not). I was neither impressed or turned off. I guess it's the contents of the package that I'm interested in!

By the way, it seems that Heiniken has been successful with their "keg can" as they are about to roll it out in larger sizes. But they are not the first ones to do this. I have in my beer can collection a couple cans of Hamm's that date to the 1970's with a similar shape.

Yep, I was going to say, Hamms had it first!
