What Nor'easter? This was just a late flurry as we only got about 18". That is not a major storm, just a dusting.

Hell, we got 18" of rain, it just took 3 years to accumulate.

Good thing I brewed on Saturday, because Sunday sucked, and so did today. I brew outside, and I would never have pulled that off.

I just want to know when the wind is going to stop. There's a distressing number of roofing shingles strewn about my back yard.

While there are definitlly some things I miss about the Northeast, there are some that I don't. We were windy last week but at least it was mostly sunny and in the low 70's.

Well, I'll take the occasional Nor'easter over mudslides, forest fires, and earthquakes any day. California scares me.

Out here, 25 to 30 mph is a light breeze....

Out here, 7" of rain is just a shower.

Back in my day, us kids used t' go fly kites in the tornados. Why, we'd bait the kite with some hay and catch us a whole mess o' cows. And not these scrawny little cows like you see nowadays, nossir. We'd catch us some real nice ones. Anything under 3 tons, we'd throw right back ino that thar twister. Then we'd take 'em home to ma, and she'd clean 'em and fry 'em up with a side of rusty hubcaps.

Yessir, we loved twister weather. Only time it ever got breezy enough to think about wearin' a jacket. Course, we didn't have jackets back then...

Yep, you better just stay back there in NJ. Don't come out West. It is scary on this side of Texas. Those of us who are out here have to wear "Depends" - just in case.

...At least this time around they had these mini pumper boats so they could actually put out the fires. A lot of places just burned down during Floyd.

I don't mind it here so much. I have a super hot Finnish gf and plenty of beer to go around, you just need to move out of the mountains and closer to the coast is all.
