I'm just wondering which hop variety has the best combination of high alpha acid content along with a low co-humolone content? I'm looking for something to use as my stand "long boil, bitterness only" hop.
Right now I'm looking at Columbus, Horizon, and Magnum among others.

Warrior is great as is Columbus. I haven't tried Horizon (yet).

I grow my own Horizon and recently used it as the bittering hop in both a Pyramid Snow Cap clone and an IPA. I like it as a bittering hop. It grows well here on the west side of the Cascade mountains, in Washington state.

I've heard nothing but good things with Magnum, so I tried it in last weeks IPA. I'll post results in a few weeks.;)
