I used to used one in my 10 Gallon Rubbermaid until my Rubbermaid warped from years of use and I couldn't get a good seal anymore and started getting stuck mashes. Then I went to a bazooka screen and life is good again.

I fly sparge mostly, my current manifold is two pieces of braided stainless that forms a circle with a couple tee's and a cross piece and I get great #'s out of it(80%) but I am beating the hell out of it while stirring my mash because the braided hose has nowhere to move to the ways its setup and I want to stay fly sparging so I want to go false bottom......

I am using a GOTT cooler they are made for both hot and cold liquids so I hope it doesn't warp anytime soon

After seeing those newer ICECUBE coolers I am wishing they where around this area when I picked up my 10 gallon gott.... hell they have 48 quart cubes without the wheels on them that I am betting would make a EXCELLENT mash tun. Nice bottom surface area so you can still get good grainbeds with smaller batches, nice square bottoms would be easy to make an efficient manifold.. and they are only like 19 bucks!!!! Picking up one of the 60 quarts tomorrow for a HLT. Even though it has the wheel wells on it and the drain hole sits up high its nothing a simple bent peice of copper pickup tube can't fix

I paid $12.75 for my Ice Cube at Wal-Mart 3-4 years ago.

Just bought mine 2 weeks ago and brewed my 1st all-grain with it...worked perfectly!

yea yea yea shup :) its 2 gallons bigger and a hell of a lot cheaper...... been kicking myself in the ass since last night when I found them, just wished the bigger 60 quarts didnt have the wheel wells on them something like that would be perfect for the bigger 10 gallon batches.... Going to have to find a nice big one that I can get enough grains into to do higher gravity 10 gallon batches buy next year when I get a keg to boil in
