Just uncapped an American Pale Ale....ahhh......
The nose is good...mild but inviting, with hints of cinnamon.
The first sip was bold, a brisk walk down hop tail lane on a cool early spring morning. Lots of fizz and bustle, with the promise of a sweet, mild spring ahead.
The finish was delightfully bitter, and lay a mouthful of hops on the palate.
Gone are the fears of bleaching the wort. Gone are the worry about untreated water in the airlock. Gone is the worry about moving to a secondary.
This is truly the best beer I've brewed (although I've only brewed one before)! And for that, I have you all to thank for it.
I shared a few bottles with friends over the recent holiday and they all agree: this is a great beer. Surprisingly so.
So thank you all. My gratitude does not have words.
