Email notification

I have had my email notification off for about a week, and keep getting emails. It has flooded my email account, and I really need to take care of it. Am I missing something? All email notifcations are off under my user cp.

1) Make sure you click "save changes" at the bottom of the page when you change stuff.

2) This site is notorious for having issues with IMs, PMs, and email notification. What you might do is change your email address listed here (make a new account somewhere), and see what happens. Might give your current addy some needed relief.

When I turned mine off this is what happened. I did not get any email about threads from the day I shut it down, I would still get emails about threads that were started before the shut off date. As the threads got old, the number of emails dropped greatly.

At one point i was not getting any. Then there was an influx of new members and the old threads were getign replies. So, now I am getting some emails as the old threads come back to life.

had gotten consumed with work life etc. they reminded me how much I enjoy this site though

Go into the user CP and you'll see 2 places that you'll need to delete, subscribed threads and subscribed forums. Go into each one and take care of business. That should shut them off. If that's what you've already done, then sorry to come across like a tool.

as was stated by hooky, you have to unsubscribe to the old threads - wortchillergoal, you may want to look at that also.
