What is everyone drinking on an everyday basis. (Or however often you drink beer) Not your favorite, but what you reach for after work. I would bet that few are drinking thier favorite on a regular basis. I know for me I couldn't afford my favorite every day. Also a Belgian abby ale or a Russian imperial stout just ain't the type of beer you would slam after a day of working in the sun.
Red Hook Longhammer IPA is the beer that I usually grab after work. Actually almost any IPA would do. It's the cost that makes RH my choice. It's usually on sale somewhere. It's a very good beer and I can drink it every day and it tastes as good as the day before. Lee

Samuel Adams is a good choice, cost $1.50 (6 pack) more than most macros and the same less than most micros.

Varies. Lately it has been growlers from local brewpubs. Since my son is back at home it makes it nice to share a growler. When it was just me I rarely opened a growler. The two litre swing tops are the perfect size for 2.

my everyday beer is normally the dominion seasonal

It depends on location

At home we'll usually have some Dominion product, maybe some Guinness, Victory, Paulaner, Dogfish Head, or Brooklyn as well as a couple of bottles of Chimay and Saison Dupont on hand.

As far as my usual haunts, if I head to the Reef, right around the corner from where I work, it's whatever the the best seasonal on at the moment (they rotate their lines very regularly, only the stuff I won't drink stays the same), so lately it's been Bells Two Hearted. Amongst my session brews there over the past few years (happy 5th anniversary btw to Brian and all at Reef central) have been Brooklyn Pilsner, Paulaner Oktoberfest, Fordham Helles, and De Konninck. I always have the cask, whatever it is, on Thursdays Fall-Spring.

When at the Pharmacy Bar I always have Tupper's Hop Pocket Ale or De Konninck.

When at Temperance Hall it's Tupper's Hop Pocket Pils or the seasonal.

When at Gordon Biersch it's gotta be the Schwarzbier.

When at Murphy's it's Guinness.

When at Dogfish Rehobeth I'll have whatever is on special. If that's not to my taste Chicory Stout or 60 Minute IPA.

For me it's also whatever i have on tap. Typically a malty golden lager or pale ale on one and a dark lager or stout on the other.

Lately I've also been buying microbrews and imports and trying to keep a few in my fridge, but those are a "treat" for me, considering a pint of my homebrew only typically cost ~ 30 - 40 cents in ingrediants (at the most).

I work a 28 day on and 14 day off schedule so I am away from home most of the time.
Fullers ESB is my everyday drinker, I also like Sam Adams Boston lager for a change. I mix and match a variety of singles, and tend to gravitate towards beers from Britain.

. . .ask Jeeves. . .

Sorry, I had to do that. . . don't you get any down time on your 28 on to drink like 1 beer at the end of your shift?

I could not work 28 on, 14 off. . . that would majorly f*!&k up my brewing/fermenting schedule.. . . and a person has to have priorities in life. . . . It would be nice to drink Fullers ESB more often though. . .or any fullers for that matter. I really like the 1845.

I work on a dive support vessel in the middle of the gulf of Mexico. Drinking off duty is frowned upon by the company. Un fortunately they are not as progessive as some of our European counter parts where as long as you are not drunk, or make problems for the ship your off time is your own.

It gives me a better appreciation for the beers I do get to drink.
When I brew I usually go 1 week in primary and let the secondary happen in the bottle, this also gives me something to look forward to when I go home. Not to mention having patience forced on you to wait and let the beer mature.

I feel your pain. . .I spent 6 years in uncle sam's canoe club, and I couldn't wait to get off that ship and hit a bar.. . .although I must admit, part of me misses being out on the waves. . .

Penn Pilsner is my favorite in the summer and Siberian Nights Imperial Stout in the winter.

I can't have a beer everyday as my doctor wants me to cut down on my drinking. I told him that I would only drink on those days that end with the letter "y'.

On those days, I reach for a Middle Ages Impaled Ale, Saranac Pale Ale, or a Brooklyn Lager.

Is that like the old 'I only drink on two occasions. When I'm alone and when I'm with somebody' saying?;)

My tastes have been changing since I have been brewing so its hard to tell. It used to be Shiner bock but I got bored with it. My Octoberfest Ale is good as a seasonal. I am hoping corky's or a wheat will do the trick. My last hefewiezen disappeared somewhere(must have evaporated). Actually, i like some malt character in my beer so maybe a porter will do the trick.

I am gonna keep trying until I find one .

I don't have an everyday beer, for me beer is very situational. 3 days ago I mowed my yard, that's a good time for a Deschute Mirror Pond or something similar that I can drink out of the bottle while I'm mowing. When I'm in the kitchen cooking or doing dishes I like my stronger, darker homebrews, especially the Belgian. And if I'm outside grilling I tend to stick with my English style homebrews like the Irish red or even oatmeal stout. Last night I only had time for 2 beers so I compared a Kalamazoo stout with my RIS. Sorry Bell's but it came in a distant second.

I don't have an everyday beer - I drink so many different beers for work, it's whatever I'm writing about that week, or whatever gets sent to me.

Even when I buy beer, I typically only buy mixed 6 or 12 packs and never more than two of one kind at any one time.

We can't buy mixed singles out here. We have 2 grocery stores, 6 convenience stores and WalMart that sell beer. Our last liquor store closed 10 years ago at least. The only thing we can buy singles of, except a small selection of bombers and 40's, are BMC cans 16 oz or bigger.

That's too bad. I'd probably start homebrewing if I couldn't buy mixed sixers.

I don't have an everyday beer either. last night I drank 4 Troegs Sunshine Pils. They were delectable. I've got a bunch of Oberon that I'm looking forward to this weekend.

I don't have an everyday beer either. I suppose the closest thing I do have to one would either be a Sam Adams flavor that I keep around or a growler from a brewpub near my home.

I don't consider my homebrew everyday beer, because I'm constantly trying new recipes.

Although it isn't everyday I have beer- ouch lightning just struck me-,But I used to always crave after work a Coors light and clamato juice(canadian thing!) Just thinking about it makes my mouth water, yumm! But I am trying news beers (what I can find up north here) and I am currently working on Big Rock Jack Rabbit Lite 6 pack. (can't wait till 5!!)

I also do not have an everyday beer. I try to keep lots of styles and brands on hand. Nice to grab what ever sounds good at the moment.

I wouldn't say I have an "everyday" beer (since it sort of implies one drinks it everyday), but I do have what I've always referred to as a "house" beer- the beer you always have around as constant stock, even when there's 20 other beers in the beer 'frig.

Many years ago (late 70's-early 80's) it would have been Ballantine XXX Ale (in deposit bottles). When I moved to the Finger Lakes area (where the Ballantine would have meant a trip south into PA) I switched to Lord Chesterfield Ale, which someone in the area "bootlegged" into the area and sold to local health food stores and restaurants. At that time, the LCA was being bottled in brown returnables, too, so that made it all the better.

After that era, as craft brews became more and more prevalent and consistent, I've bounced around a lot. Victory Hop Devil and Pilsner Urquell were the usuals starting 7-8 years ago or so, with the "pilsner" slot being more likely taken by Prima Pils, Jever or canned Pikeland Pils these days (which ever's freshest at the store).

We often have 2,3,4,5 varieties in the fridge, but we recently joined Costco and found they carry Speakeasy Big Daddy IPA in a 24 pack, so that's become our "house" beer.

God I love Speakeasy.

In the summer, it's mostly IPAs of some kind or SNPA, and in the winter, it's of course all the seasonals with SN Celebration being the "house" brew we almost always have in the fridge.

Beyond what I have brewed myself, for me, it varies. In the spring, it's lately been Deschutes Buzzsaw Brown, or Pyramid Curveball Kolsch. I often rotate between several APA's such as SNPA, Mirror Pond, Kona Fire Rock, or my local Snoqualmie Falls Copperhead. I've also been really liking the "new" Redhook Longhammer IPA. Also, I've been drinking more hefeweizens, such as Pyramid's regular Hefe, Widmer's Hefe, or Pyramid's Amber Hefe.

I have enjoyed having draft beer on my kegerator at the beach so much that I am considering buying one for my home as well. I have always had an overabundance of bottled beer in my beer fridge and even though that gives me a lot of options when I select what I'm going to drink in the evening I often have brews that sit in my cellar for far too long until they are consumed or rotated through my beer fridge. Plus, I have found myself buying lots of growlers these days as my son is living back at home now and I don't mind opening one because he will help consume it. :)
It is nice choosing and sharing beers with him. So I will most probably aquire a second kegorator for my home. There is just something nice about the freshness and convenience of having a home draft system. And sixtels seem to be the perfect size for home dispense. On Saturday I travelled to PA and picked up a sixtel of Troegs Sunshine Pils and one of Yards Philly Pale Ale for my beach place. (I have 2 taps there) I also picked up growlers of Hop Devil and Hop Wallup from Victory.
