Besides sweets? Ever have a nice flourless chocolate cake with a glass of Anchor Porter? Of course, I guess the cake would have to be cooked at some point...
Never had eggs with beer, but who knows?

Scrambled eggs with cheese and a good Witbier. You can even add a little OJ if you want - there's a name for that drink; I forget now. But MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm....

Really now...is there a food that doesn't go with some kind of beer? I don't think so.

I have- Steak and eggs for breakfast after a 12 hour night shift, along with an Inperial Pilsner. Mighty satisfying.
As far as other foods not going with beer- jello?

I'd guess since new hop shoots taste like asparagus, a hoppy brew would go well with it

Well, it's essentially a grain. And grains are almost always the thing that goes with every meal. I'm not surprised it works with everything.
Then again, didn't some guy in the US make a locust beer a while ago? I can't see that tasting particularly great, and you can technically eat locusts (just a dab of honey and possibly some sort of general anaesthetic for the locust: deeelish!).
Hot & sour soup?
I think beer would wash down hot & sour soup nicely.
Bubble gum?
Gotta swallow it to be food IMO. Same with chew.

A sweet imo.

IMHO you can't call something brewed from bugs a beer.

No but it sounds like a good idea. My wife would buy flourless chocolate cake from whole paycheck, errr foods that was very good.

I remember having a very nice flourless chocolate cake at Karl Strauss' in San Diego on my birthday long ago. If I recall I had a decent stout with it. I also had an 8 glass sampler tray.
I remember them as being pretty good, don't know if they still are (or if they're still there).

White asparagus is a huge favorite in Munich in the Spring -- I can see a good Maibock pairing with some lightly sauteed asparagus with crumbled bacon as a side to a nice schnitzel.

this is starting to remind me of "City Slickers" when they're discussing ice cream flavors that go with various foods...

I can't imagine beer with a bowl of cold cereal being particularly good, but I've always been a little intrigued with Hawkeye Pierce's Rice Krispies 'n' beer:D .

Snap, crackle, burp.
Then there's the "beer float" from Steinbeck's Cannery Row.

I was at a beer dinner recently and the desert was a specially made "Chili" mole over home made ice cream with a brownie made with stout and chocolate drizzled. Was interesting.

Stout floats rock. Other flavors of ice cream I have tried and liked are coffee, and (believe it or not) pumpkin.
