Ive loved 90 shilling (and the Odells brewery) since i moved out here in 1995. Recently i had my brother out over vacation, and while eating at a buddys restaurant, we continually found ourselves ordering 22oz 90's on tap. (over multiple evenings) I made the comment several times "Damn these 90's are going down smooth!!" So, in the event you havent had a cold 90 lately, you really should!! Peace,Chris

90 Shilling is certainly one of the most unique and tasty brews on the planet - I used to have the logo as my avatar!

When we're out in the CO or WY area, I seek it out. 90 Shilling is absolutely delicious. We always bring back a couple six packs, which, no matter how judiciously we parcel them out, still seem to disappear all too soon.
Pardon the drool...

I used to really really like the Cutthroat Pale, which they phased out in favor of the hoppier, more "Pac NW" style 5 Barrel----which I also like quite a bit, and find more and more often in even non-beer-geek bars....
But the Cutthoat Pale Ale (maybe they had a brand identification issue with the Cutthroat Pale and the Cutthroat Porter)--that was my kind of pale ale, more "English" in character.
90 Shilling is nice though, and often my only friend in those otherwise BMC-dominated bars....

Nope - Doug Odell is simply a hophead and wanted something with a stronger hop profile. That's what I hear from the tasting room operators at the brewery. But yeah - CPA was tasty, and rather unique.

90 Shilling is one of those benchmark beers. I had one recently, for the first time in years (because I cannot get it where I am) and it was as good as I remember. And like all Colorado brewed beers (even Coors, I suppose), if finishes clean. It's just such a classic, tasty brew.
