Sumttynose Imperial Stout

My stepfather told me to give it a try. I'm not much for the Imperial's usually. I just havn't grown into the High gravity stuff. This was pretty good though. Nice chocolate flavor.

Smutty rarely disappoints. Last year's hoppy Imperial Stout was a treat. Still haven't picked up any for 2007.

Sadly, Smutty's long time mascot "Olive", of Old Brown Dog label fame, died last week at the age of 15. Raise a Smutty in her honor this week.

Sorry to hear about Olive. 15 years is a pretty good run for an old brown dog. Mine is starting to have some joint problems at the eight year mark. Thursday night I'll be at Portsmith Brewing Co. I guess I'll have one of her beers.

Enjoy Portsmouth. I'll be up that way this weekend and hope to hit Portsmouth Brewery (just for a few bombers) and The Tap in Haverhill.

Any sign of the Smuttynose Really Old Brown Dog yet? Still have Impy and S'muttonator DBock on the shelves down here in RI.
