Greetings all. Lets begin with saying I am in Ontario, Canada. It was - 30 degrees C yesterday with the wind chill, and it got me looking forward for spring, then warm summer months.

I have been going to the Toronto Beer Festival for a number of years, but I am bored with it.

I am getting married, as well as my two best friends, and we are looking for something good to do to celebrate our impending nuptuals.

I was wondering if our members could post some beer festivals comming this summer in the U.S.A., Quebec or the Maritimes, that would be worth planing a bacholars road trip for.

Thanks alot!

- cattersely.

Two events, same weekend in July.

Vermont Brewers Fest (Burlington, VT)
http://www.vermontbrewers.com/festival.html

Plenty of good beer in/around Burlington, besides the fest.
Zero Gravity @ American Flatbread
VT Pub and Brewery
Three Needs Taproom
Magic Hat/Orlio Brewery
Alchemist (brewpub) - south on 89 in Waterbury
etc.

Belgium comes to Cooperstown (@ Ommegang Brewery)

Belgium Comes To Cooperstown
July 21, 2007
2 pm - 11 pm
Belgian beer fans converge on the brewery in mid-July for a two day camp out with a Belgian beer festival in the middle. Over 100 Belgian style beers and lots of food and music, it's even been called BeerStock.

Keep checking back for more details to come!

Neither are real swinging towns, but there's plenty to do.
Eat, drink, sail on Lake Champlain, hike the Green Mountains in VT.
Eat, drink, see the baseball HOF, etc. in Cooperstown.

Congrats on the impending nuptials!

as above.
that festival is the be all and end all of beer festivals. The best one that any beer person I have ever met has been to including myself. Lots of Canadian license plates there too.. I couldn't possibly recommend it enough.. You could only go to one per year as long as its that one.

Which of the two are you talking about the Vermont one, or the one is NY state?

Three of us went to the one in Cooperstown last year. It was a great event. I have a thread posted trying to get more people to do the same this year.

Here is one in July. I have been once and it was fun. It attracts brewers from all over but mainly from the west.

Tonight I was informed I was expected to attend the Olde NE Beerfest in Woodstock, NH on June 24.http://gonewengland.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=gonewengland&zu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lincolnwoodstock.com%2Fevents% 2Fbrewfest.php I've never been to it but it looks like a good time. I'm also targeting the OrBrewfest in July and this year I am going to attend the Sept 15th Hopfest in my hometown of Oneida, NY.

That one has always sounded cool to me. Madison Co. Ny was a leading grower of hops until the turn of the century. A few new growers have moved in and the county historical society has embraced the industry by sponsering the hopfest. I can't give you a link for this years fest yet. I know it is on the 15th but the people in that town are a bit internet challenged. Last year I hear there were twenty breweries. I've never been to this event even though this will be the 12th. I have not live there in about that many years and something has always gotten in the way of me attending this fest.

As a home brewer my dream job has always been quiting the aviation world, moving back to CNY and working at West End Brewing making UC and Saranac. I don't think that will happen though: as much as my wife hates my aviation job, I don't think she will ever move back to CNY.

Anyone know of any beerfests in the Tennessee area?
