The distributors have a deep lobby in Pa. That state needs to get out of the Draconian era and into the 21st century.

If find it particularly disturbing that i have by a whole case of beer just to sample a product.

I have been burned several times by laying out a heavy price for a case, only find out it was overpriced swill when I got home.

I was stationed in Philly 20+ years ago, If you wanted a sixer you had to buy six singles from the bar @bar prices. The LCB at that time seemed to me to be a branch of the Gestapo, holding raids 1-2 times a week usually around the college area bars looking for underage drinkers.
Fortunately Jersey was right across the river, with less hassles.
Sorry to hear little progress has been made.

I know the feeling. I was born in St. Marys and still have relatives there, including my grandmother(93 next month). Whenever I go back there for a family reunion, we usually get Straub direct from the brewery.

I heard the cops camped out right at the border waiting to pounce on people who they thought were bringing booze from across the line.

There is hope, the regulations on fine wines have been opening up over the last few years (per my wine collecting friend near the philly area)
