At the suggestion of beer writer Stan Hieronymus, a number of beer bloggers are participating in a beer blogging event today. The theme is STOUTS.

Here is Stan's own post (he is hosting) - http://appellationbeer.com/blog/the-session-1-left-hand-milk-stout/

And here's mine - http://stonch.blogspot.com/2007/03/pitfield-shoreditch-stout.html

There are several other posts up already on other blogs with a number to follow as you Americans get out of work and start drinking! You'll find links on Stan's blog. Lew Bryson is taking part.

The plan is for this to be a regular event, on the first Friday of each month. There'll be a different theme each month, and a different blog will host.

Cheers

Funny thing is Starkbierzeit, the original Bockfest, doesn't start until April. And the Maibock doesn't show until, well -- Mai (May).

See there's this whole St. Patrick's Day thing, March 17th, lotta Stout flowing -- you see? ;)

The elipses ... have made your links unworkable. I happen to like Stouts, even if they are drinking Bocks in Cincinnati.

Oops! You're right - I've edited and the links now work. Lots of blogs participated in the first Session - a great success. Cheers

I have really enjoyed all the Pitfield brews I've had, though to this point my experience is limited to bottles.

Here's an old thread where I describe a couple of the Pitfield brews:
