I need some help here. My wife is German and the only beer she likes is Berliner Weisse. I just found the beer by Kindl. Now all I need is the raspberry syrup. Does anyone know what kind of syrup to use? And where I could find it?? Thanks for any info.:(

There are two types of syrup that are commonly added to Berliner Kindl Weisse - raspberry or woodruff. I've generally only seen them in the better liquor stores that sell Kindl Weisse, though you might also find them in a specialty food store.
Ideally, you'd want to use a German-made syrup (like Goebber), as opposed to the many other kinds of syrups produced for use in coffee-flavored drinks.
I've also seen these syrups available online. For example, at Germandeli.com (http://www.germandeli.com/goebber.html), you can order both the woodruff & raspberry syrups. There are many other shops online that sell German specialities. You may want to try searching for "himbeer" & "waldmeister" syrups and see what you come up with.
Interestingly, I've heard that in some places (perhaps in the UK), Kindl Weisse is also sold 'mit Schuss,' with the syrup already added in the bottle. I've never seen these in any of the stores I've checked, though I have heard of them. Good luck in finding what you're searching for!
