How long can beer be stored in a keg, under pressure, in cold storage? So far they havent lasted more than a few weeks so this may not be a big problem for me. But I am getting some more kegs and want to try to stay ahead of the demand.:D This might be a question for the owl.

I would have to say at least 4 months. I have a double chocolate stout that's been in the fridge for that long and it is still good. But wouldn't it last potentially for years? I think I'm with Ray M on this one.

Beer can be sotred forever in kegs, how good it will taste and how overcarbonated it will be is another beast.

The concern here is actually not the shelf life of the beer itself, but how overcarbonated this beer can become. With constant head pressure CO2 will still go into solution and your beer will start to become overcarbonated. While you can fix overcarbonation in a keg, you can also avoid it by running blended gas.

You can either pick up a blender (they run about $50 on up) and a bottle of CO2 and one of Nitrogen or check with a local supplier like a home health or welding supply store for a CO2/N that is already mixed. For this application I would look for a 65% or 75% CO2 with the rest Nitrogen. The overcarbonation could still occur, but not as quickly as it will on a pure CO2 mix.
