True TDD-1 Muffling Compressor Noise

Has anyone had any luck with muffling the compressor noise of a True TDD-1 kegerator. I recently bought one to replace my Bev Air unit. The True unit is quite a bit louder.

I haven't tried that, but you'll want to be careful that you maintain circulation so that the warm air from the coils is circulated away from the unit, and that there is also air circulation over the compressor for the same purpose. Failure to keep these cooled by circulating air as designed will result in a dramatically shortened life of the unit. The best option may be to line portions of the compressor enclosure with thin batts of fiberglass insulation as long as the air circulation is not restricted.
