I need to buy beer some where between St. Augustine and Coco. I have noticed that finding good beer in Fl. can be a task. I have called A1A Ale House and they no longer sell growlers, so I need to find a source for good beer. Thanks for any input.

Sorry, wortchillergoal, I don't have an answer to your question. In fact, I have a similar question. I am here in Tampa at a conference and couldn't find any good beer. They had Miller and Bud, etc., and one microbrew--Tybor Gold, which isn't much good.

Are there any good beers in Florida?

I found Anchor Steam and SN ales at a liquor store in St. Augustine. My brother found same near Coco. If you ever get up to St. Augustine try the A1A Ale house or Rendezvous on St. George street there. A1A makes teir own and Rendezvous has 140 beers from all over the world. It is tough to find good beer down there. I think I might even write Disney and complain about their lack of good beer.

I've been to A1A and had the Ybor beers as well. Next time try to schedule your visit for early February in Miami. They have a superb beer fest right on the beach in South Beach. They are having it again this year only changing the name to SoBe instead of Miami International Check out the beer list from last year:

64 cask ales!

The 2004 fest is supposed to be February 6-8. (A good time to be in South Fla.) They advised me to keep watching that site for info on the 2004 fest.

I attended the fest for all sessions and My wife layed out on the beach as it was 80 degrees last year. We stayed right across the street at one of the art deco hotels. Nice trip!

Thanks, guys. I am back in Chicago now. I ended up having wine!

The weather was gorgeous, though. I came from 19 degrees and snow to 80 degrees and sun!
