So last night, as I was putting away my newly-bottled Newcastle clone, and preparing to start my pumpkin ale, the bottom dropped out of a half-rack.

Glass and beer sprayed everywhere, leaving me trapped barefoot in an island of broken glass and filling my shoes (sitting nearby) with glass shards.

I managed to jump out of my glass prison, and spent the next hour picking glass shards out of my shoes - and most of today getting some of the leftovers that had found their way into my foot. =P

There is good news though - I only lost 3 or 4 bottles when I dropped the half-rack, and I didn't have any injuries other than a few slivers. But the loss of precious beer and the delay for my new brew was bad enough.

Bleh. =P

BTW - my pumpkin brew is fermenting away nicely already. =)

Mortong, that absolutely sucks. As a fellow homebrewer that has also experienced misfortune, I cry with you.
