I split and cultured some Wyeast California Lager Yeast a while back (about a month I think) and had 2 cultures left in EZ Cap bottles in the fridge.
Well guess what? hahah hint. Its a lager yeast!
luckily no one was killed. or even hurt for that matter. However, when I flipped the cap I thought I had lost an ear it was so loud.
I handled the next bottle like it was nitrogylcerin.
