Yes, bone can be used for DIY tap handles. This is one I just forged tonight from a human tibia. Yes, it's real. Why? Because. hehe.
I'll get some pics of it on the draft tower a little bit later.

Well, I'll leave that part as an exercise for the reader.
However, they are of course acquired through totally legal channels.

My dad had a skull that he kept in his office (Biologist). He put a couple plastic eyeballs in the eye sockets. No problems here with a thigh bone as long as its nobody I know.
