I've found a very useful site that reviews bottled beers. Presently it lists some 1672 different beers from 55 different countries.

To prove its egalitarian stance I would mention that it even reviews Bud Ice! Go to the search box and fill in the term "Budweiser" and all the beers using that name are shown.

The marks for taste range from 2.5 out of ten to eight out of ten. I won't spoil your fun by telling you which gets the highest and which the lowest mark.

You can add your comments to the taster's review if you wish and I can tell you that the comments following the A-B tasting are most interesting!

Of course, you can enter any other brand as well and of my own favourite stout it says: "...A superb, strong but mellow stout, which hides its strength dangerously well..."

And which is that? I'll give you a clue - it doesn't come from England, Ireland or the USA!

Go to http://www.bottledbeer.co.uk/ to find out more.

Richard I went to that site, but it's under construction. Maybe temporary I don't know. I'll try again tomorrow.

That's strange - it was working perfectly yesterday and I accessed it several times.

Maybe it's just being updated. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if it doesn't reappear and I find out why.

If the scale only goes as low as 2.5, how can they give Bud Ice a ranking?

Maybe it's because it's a British site and we like to believe that there's some good in everything!

We would probably reserve zero only for those drinks that were instantly fatal, rather than those which simply kill you by boredom.
