Season’s Greetings from Norm’s Beer & Wine!
We’re open on Christmas Eve from 10am-6pm, closed Christmas Day.
Beer News
The good news: Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard is arriving in 12oz.
bottles. The bad news: we’re getting a whopping 2 cases. In order to
try and spread it around as much as possible, we’re limiting each
customer to 2 bottles.
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale was out of stock last weekend, but we’ve
picked up some more…it could be the last call. We also found some
goodies that haven’t been in Northern Virginia in a while: Anchor
Porter, Anchor Old Foghorn (in 12oz. bottles, not 7oz.), Lowenbrau
Munich, and even PBR longneck bottles! Supplies are limited!
We’re also expecting more of the Green Flash Imperial IPA, a trio of
exotic Dogfish Head Brews (Pangea, Fort, and World Wide Stout), Russian
River Temptation, and Bell’s Two Hearted Ale.
Carlsberg Jacobsen Original Dark Lager…$5.99/750ml
Fermented at low temperature to give a specially mild and rounded
caramel flavor.
Carlsberg Jacobsen Saaz Blonde…$6.99/750ml
Brewed according to Belgian traditions for light, top-fermented beers.
Great Divide Hercules Double IPA…$6.99/22oz.
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules
Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA
is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder,
Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in
the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral,
and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone
of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules’ aggressive,
punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).
Tommyknocker Cocoa Porter…$8.99/6pk
A favorite of the Baltimore Sun’s Holiday Beer Tasting: “With cocoa
powder and honey in this dark brew, it is almost dessert.”
