Freestater here, I happened upon your nice little place here on the 'net and thought I'd go ahead and register. I'm a beer nut with the gut to prove it. I enjoy discussing beer, football, and politics. Hope to have a good time on your site. :D

No, they are here in Syracuse. Welcome freestater, this is a good community though we stay to beer topics for the most part. Threads about politics tends to create flame wars and we are not about that.

Do you get to Syr at all? I go to Roch from time to time. I was at RIT two weeks ago for a train show with my son. Maybe some day we can meet for a beer.

Not necessarily.

We’ve had a few political discussions recently and I don’t remember any flame wars. Most everyone here seems pretty polite.

IMO, discussing politics is fine as long as we behave ourselves. If it bothers someone to read a political opinion contrary to their own, they shouldn’t open the thread. ;)

I'd have to say that one of the things that I like about this place is the lack of political threads I've seen so far. I don't mind arguing about politics, but it's nice to frequent a place that doesn't seem to have much political talk too.

And welcome, I'm in Rochester too and fairly new here as well.

Click the blue button at the top of the page - "user cp".
Then click on "Edit Options".
Bottom of that page will instruct you how to add your avatar.
