Coming to town on Sat, Dec 16th

Coming back to DC town on Dec. 16th, Saturday night. Be based out in Fairfax and Arlington. I haven't been back to the DC area (where I lived for 8 years) in over a year, almost 2. Any new beer bars in Northern Virginia that I should check out?

I had thought to check out Gordon Biersche in Tysons while I was there, but I always like smaller, less corporate establishments. Anything new or funky?

Rustico in Alexandria and Bierria Paradiso in Georgetown are two of the newest beer focused joints that aren't too far away from you out in the wilds. All of the other places I might recommend are downtown good and proper or in MD.

I know there are some folks who live out beyond the pale. Folks?

if your in arlington stop by the lost dog or its new sister restaurant the stray cat, both are on washington blvd in westover.

And the boulevard woodgrille is clarendon usually has a good tap list, i haven't been there in awhile but i know that this time last year they had Mad Elf on tap, and that right there is enough to make it worth going to.
