I brewed a Double Bock about a week ago. After fermentation started, I put the fermenter in my shop (lagering) fridge. Weve had a cold snap here, and the temp in the fridge has been between 30-40 degrees. Will this low a temp inhibit fermentation? I used Wyeast Bavarian, first time for using the smack packs, and am concerned that I might need to try to bump temp up to about 50 or so to get a good complete fermentation. Thanks

It says it works down to 46F, which usually means it will work a little lower, but 30 is gonna be way too low.

If there is no signs of fermentation, a gravity check is in order. A lager usually needs at least 2 weeks primary, you'll probably need even longer consider the low temp and the fact you are brewing a big doppelbock.

Thanks. I ended up taking it out of the fridge and the temp went up to about 45 average, and has been bubbling along nicely
