Hello, I was wondering if you have any opinion about brewing schools. I was a home brewer for a while and now I’m thinking about opening a brewpub or microbrewery. I’m looking for a school with both theoretical and practical approach. I searched for a while and I really like three schools:
• American Brewers Guild in Vermont
• Siebel Institute in Chicago/Munich
• VLB in Berlin
What do you think about them? Maybe someone graduated from them. I’ll appreciate any information/opinion/comments. Thanks Bart.

Don't forget:

Heriot-Watt (Scotland)

UCal Davis

Weihenstephan (Germany)

There are a few pro brewers that hang about here I'm sure they'd be willing to give you some advice. Also go visit any brewers in your area. I know a large number in the trade got there via the apprentice system. Granted if you're looking into ownership a bit more knowledge would be in order.
