I found hop harvest at Ragtime near the courthouse metro.
Its thier beer of the month, happy hr 4-8 2.50 a pint.
When I called King to find it on tap, they saved me a keg at Total wine in chantilly, who ever would like the keg, let me know.
Cheers..

I tried the cask conditioned version of this at the SPBW real ale tasting in Baltimore. It was my favorite brew that day.

That's very interesting as Dominion never released it for sale outside of the pub.

Hey Derek, I was at the Herndon Hard Times last night and the duty manager (Mark I think) told me that they will never be using the handpump again. I said that It usually had had Tupper's Hop Pocket on it and he said yeah but that they have a perfectly good refrigerated beer cooler and they serve draft Hop Pocket and that it tastes just the same without the work of the hand pump. I did not bother to go into why they did not taste just the same and that the cask conditioned brew was a different animal than the kegged version. I was too disheartened. I enjoyed a glass of the Celebration though.

Just got a note from the brewery that they have more Oak Barrel Millenium for sale at the brew pub.

I love the Tupper's from the handpump at the brewery - didn't know they had it anywhere else.

Not surprised. I thought that was a bit of a stretch for them. When I saw some of their tap handles changing back to the more blah beers I knew it was a goner. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.

That's a bummer about Herndon. That said I just sent 'em an E-mail to see if they'd be interested in selling their beer engine.

I had the same thought but I already have one that gets far too little use. Next you'll want to get one of those new Cask-erators that UKBrewing.com and whats-his-name from NY are selling.

I already asked them last night. They guy said they liked the look of it on the bar and probably would not sell it.

Funny you say that. Several of us regulars at the Reef cask night had talked about chipping in for one so Brian could keep cask on regularly.

I saw one in use at the Lancaster Brewing Co. this summer, though they only do cask on weekends even with it (it was midweek when I was there).

I've been debating one myself, but not seriously. At least not at this point.

It is a bit much for the home.
