It's the most wonderful time...for some Beer!

I love winter, not just for the skiing, but great beers. I try to buy enough Frambozen (New Belgium) to last me the whole year, but it just doesn't happen. And last year I helped zest oranges for Lefthand for their XXXmas Ale. Another true treat of the season. I could sit and mention all my favorites but I would rather go somewhere and drink some favorites. Enjoy!

I always mean to, but never get to, try Frambozen. NB makes some great brews.

With apologies to brewers at Pyramid and New Belgium, experimenting last year, we found that a mix of two parts Pyramid Snow Cap and one part Frambozen is a winter treat.

Another good winter mix is Young's Double Chocolate Stout and a Raspberry or Cherry Lambic. Known as a "Chocolate Truffle" in the south.
