I was going to the store the other day to get my son some 7-up so he could have something to drink while down with the stomach flu. I decided to run into the Rite Aid instead of the Safeway here by the house. Good thing I did. They had a shopping cart set up by the front door that they were filling with various malt beverages and a sign that said $3.00 per 6 pack. All I could see at a glance was Captain Morgan's and some other crap that I wouldn't give to my worst enemy. I looked closer and buried under all of this was 7 6er's of Full Sail Amber and a 6 of Portland Brewing's Uncle Otto's Oktoberfest. Well I promptly filled a cart with said brews, got the kid's sodas and marched up to the register with my prchase.

I just love it when you find a cool bargain and you weren't even looking for it.

I love hearing things like that.

Several years ago they decalred eminent domain here in KC to build the speed way. While right in the middle was a little liquor store, and while the selection was not the greatest he did carry some local beers and a few better known regionals. He held a huge sale and I walked away with about 20 cases of beer for a little under $150 and about 10 bottles of some various meads for about $50.
