Hi!

Looking to widen my circle of friends while boosting my zymurgy skills! Just starting with a soda-keg system -- totally psyched. No more cases and cases of bottles. Oh yeah, baby!

Looking to brew better beer and hang out with some enthusiastic beer-minded folks in the Portland/Vancouver area. I'm in north Portland but am open to meeting up in the greater vicinity.

You might try a Oregon Brew Crew meeting. They can be lots of fun, help you meet some like minded people and try some homebrew, too.

Hi batkins --- thanks for the suggestion. I posted here and on craigslist with the hope of hooking up with someone fairly quickly. The three groups in the area all seem great -- OR Brew Crew, PDX Brewers and PUDS. Just the fact that there are three groups alone is a great thing! I'd hoped to meet a friend or two more informally but may have to go that route. Thanks again for dropping a line.

There is a homebrew section there, you might post and find someone. There is also a local section (I think you have to be a paying member to get to it though, $12/yr, well worth it).


As far as informal get toethers go, I work on weekends so my wife and I tend to run around most of the week. Unfortunately, we don't get to do any weekend fun.

If your out during the week, you could drop us a line and maybe we could do pints.

I need to get it together and join, too. I'd be interested in talking/drinking/brewing beer with you sometime. Never can have too many friends.

I, too, am in north Portland. I do all grain beers and am getting ready to start buying 50# sacks of grain.

Brew Crew sounds great. I recently hooked up with the Vancouver club called the Plato Republic. Great people! Plus, no club fees. :)
