Got this from OD today:

October News From the Beer Trenches
Hop Harvest Ale
Our new Hop Harvest Ale is a distinctive seasonal brew that uses freshly harvested hops from upstate New York.
This unfiltered ale is autumnal amber in color with a creamy white head, and an appealing delicate aroma that strikes a balance between the floral hops and sweet malt. Hop Harvest Ale is a medium-bodied beer with effervescent hop flavors and a pleasant citric tartness in the finish.
Wet hop beer are made with freshly harvested hop flowers, so they still possess the volatile flavors that are lost during processing. Dominion Hop Harvest Ale was brewed with Cascade and Centennial hops that had been harvested less than 48 hours prior to brewing.
Once a thriving hop growing region, New York ceased hop production about 50 years ago. A hop growing resurgence is underway in the region, and we were eager to experiment with these east coast hops.
Hop Harvest Ale will be available in the Brewpub on Friday, October 20.
On the Horizon
Our new small-batch Dominion ESB will be available on draught in the Brewpub by the end of October.
Dominion Winter Brew
Our next seasonal beer, Dominion Winter Brew, will be available in the first half of November.
Dominion Winter Brew is a French-style Christmas Ale. the defining character is a rich, complex, malt taste. The beer has a soft vanilla aroma that blends with spicy and nutty malt notes.
ABV 7.3%

The Hop Harvest sounds right up my alley. I need to make my way up there soon.

I still have one bottle of last season's Winter Brew left. Will have to do a side by side comparison.

Zoom,

This and last year's Winter brew are different. Last year was an Amber w/hops in the mash. This one appears to be a Biere de Garde. Now, I'm not suggesting you shouldn't try them side-by-side, just keep in mind it's not like OSA where there are subtle differences.:D

Drank the Wet hop last night, in fact a bit too much of it. It's nice. Mildly malty and mildly bitter w/an almost incense-like finish. But don't wait. They only have 40 kegs of it and they were tapping their fifth when I got there only 7 hours after they went on line with it. BTW, the basr beer reminds me quite a bit of last year's Winter brew.
