A good friend is going to be in Boulder next week and I was wondering if there were any particularly good Paint Shops to send her to. If any happen to carry New Glarus that'd be peachy (or Framboise-y). Any native Boulder bottled products to recommend? Brewpubs and the like?

If this is where you can get Old Chub DO SO!! They come in six-pack cans. Don't be fooled by the cans.

Rockies Brewing Company is in Boulder. They have solid, if not over-the-top, beers. The Single Track Copper, Ropewalk Amber, and their Porter are pretty decent brews; worth a change of pace, if nothing else.

You might encourage your friend to also be on the lookout for Breckenridge products, and Dillon Brewing products as well. And ditto on the Old Chub. That stuff is brilliant!

New Glarus only distributes their great beers in the state of Wisconsin - I certainly wish that they were available here in Ohio!

Supposed to be a good paint store:

Liquor Mart (http://www.liquormart.com/)

And they are fairly central.

Breweries that I visited when I was there during GABF were Mountain Sun (on Pearl St Downtown) As best I can tell there are no bottles but their draft beers are excellent. Walnut Brewpub is also around the corner

Avery - enjoyed a trip there, free tastings and bottles on sale but the brewery is quite hard to find (at the rear of an industrial park) and you can get most of their stuff here anyway.

I'd get some New Belgium - especially their Abbey and 1554 beers - and if you can persuade her to drive the 60 or so miles to the brewery and bring back all the La Folie she can carry. (I think I'm correct that it is still only available at the brewery but they do an excellent free tasting and have a great shop so it's worth the trip in my opinion).

( I had New Glarus Red at GABF and I was not impressed - too sweet and lacking in compexity for me - not even a close contender to La Folie.
