Hmm, since I have the dregs of beer goo at the bottom of my fermenter I wonder if they would work to make a good starter for batter?? Then I could make pretzels or beer batter fish or something.
No since in letting it go to waste, huh.

The dregs in your beer barrell is not good for cooking with. It is mainly yeast and spent protein cells.

It is very good for fertiliser, and for making traps to keep slugs from the garden.

You could try making a yeast extract from it, but that would stink the house out.

I tip all mine in the compost heap.

If you have a compost pile, the trub is great at getting all the microbes going that break down organic manner.

I smear mine on my face like war paint and strip down to my tighty-whities. Then I stick a few feathers in my head, grab an axe, and break into my neighbors house at 2am. Once in I sneak into his bedroom and stand at the foot of the bed with the axe over my head and let out a Native American battle cry. You should try it! The look on his wifes face is well worth the restraining order.

I have a friend that saves his trub until he has enough to run it through his alcohol extraction device. *Then* he throws it out because its kinda sterile.
