I will be getting my equipment soon and was wondering if this type of burner looks like a good one to use.
The BTU's seem to be plenty.

I will be using the hose and regulator from my bbq grill.
Thanks,
Tim

that burner might be good, but make sure you are CERTAIN that the stand will hold a full kettle of wort.

Ebay... Stainless steel turkey friers... less then 100 bucks will get you a 34 quart stainless pot(thin but seems to be just fine) and a DAMNED massive burner and stand.... could fit a half keg no problem I believe!
here is the exact one I have... http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-SUNJOY-Professional-Turkey-Fryer-34-QT-STAINLESS_W0QQitemZ230030094919QQihZ013QQcategoryZ 20674QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Water is about 8 lb per gallon.
200,000 BTU's is a lot. What batch size do you brew?

I am such a newbie, I havent even brewed my first batch yet.
Dont even have equipment yet but I am planning on getting it within a month or two.
Lucky me I have a LHBS on the way home from work and also someone at work told me of this fellow employee who used to brew so I may ask if he would like to hand down his equipment to someone starting out...........................me! :D

I have had a burner like the one you are looking at for a long time. I have never used it for brewing since I am just starting myself, but have used it a ton for other cooking. I have had some massive pots on the stand for frying fish and never had a problem with it holding up. I will say one thing about the burner thoughl. It is LOUD. It is much louder than other burner types. It has just a single jet near the bottom of the central tube that fires straight up the center of the tube.
Works great just loud.

Im kind of on a budget at the moment ...
Keep in mind that the unit you linked to has no regulator OR hose. Those two will set you back another $25 or so. Add a pot and your approaching the turkey fryer price. As I have convinced my wife: "Buy the best and cry once, rather than cry every time you use it!"
As for quality, I don't have that exact burner, but have had the Metal Fusion brand for 10+ years and it is great.
Now get brewing!

Believe me, I go with your way of thinking. May as well buy the best or at least a darn good one.
Now if I could only get my wife to think like that. But on the other hand she will be using it too for her canning so I think she may just see the light.
Thanks.

HE beat me to it LOL...
I actualy went with the stainless frier because after pricing just large enough stainless pots then alluminum pots and then realizing my little home stove wouldnt be able to do full boils and would prolly need a burner and I am on a very strict budget(read single dad with two boys at home with me...) I was about ready to give up..... When believe it or not my Grandmother asked(she is a cook) well can you use a turkey frier???? I went Hmmmm.... looked around and be damned there where alot of others doing that exact thing... So started looking around and found that frier for alittle less then they have on it now and well math said I can get that whole stainless setup cheaper then I could a large alluminum pot and a burner.
Now I am convinced there isnt a better setup for home brewing then a turkey frier LOL and the one I pointed out had a base I would not think twice about putting a keg on for brewing larger batches and its got PLENTY of heat I barely have it turned on to brew with.
