Cap City doesn't seem to have any additional info on their website about this year's Shirlington Octoberfest.
Any one else have any info?

Yep, just on Saturday - but I had heard last time I was there from some other patrons that it was going to be very different (more food/entertainment - less breweries) because the turn out was low last year.
I didn't make last year, so I may be passing on bad intel - sorry if that's the case.
Curious if theres a list floating out there about who's going to be there. The last couple ones I've been at were very enjoyable (compared to the summer's OD festival).

It was pouring rain last year which kept the attendence down. I liked it better that way. I had fun. There were several Realbeer folk there including Insidious Rex, Theakston, Neelyjr1
, myself and others. The hard core DC beer community was there. I hope they don't change it too much. I'll most likely not be there this time as I'll only be out of the hospital a few days before. I'm gonna try though. I've already bought my tix for the SPBW Real Ale Fest at the Wharf Rat on Oct. 21st.

I plan on coming again this year, in fact I am flying in from Chicago to pour at the event and looking foward to it. Tickets are pretty cheap so I figured what the heck. When I called to volunteer the contact person said that she would get back to me this week with more info, so when she calls I will ask for a list of brewers attending.

I plan on being there. I've been the last few years and last years attendance was a little on the wimpy side, but as previously stated, it did pour most of the time. I was lucky enough to not be drinking for the entire month of October, so didn't get to taste the beers, but my friends all had a blast and got to drink as much as they wanted and get a free ride home. Not this year though...man I hope Randall makes it!

The World Beer Festival in Durham is the same weekend. I've been to that one before too.

Cap City has updated their website for the fest next Saturday. Anyone have discount coupons for this year? I recently signed up for email from their site, but haven't received anything from them. Maybe I am too late.

I got the coupon in an email yesterday - $5 off.
Don't know why they don't just put it on their website since it can be emailed to anyone.

I am still planning on coming in to pour at the event for a few hours. It should be a good time.
